So far this season, our Eagles haven't won a single game against opponents in our division. Today we faced the Giants, who are in our division. Not only are the Giants the defending Super Bowl Champions, but we lost against them (although close) the last time. And, if that's not enough stress, our poor kicker, Akers, who averages over 80% on his kicks – good enough for the Pro Game – averages only 50% with the Giants. Sure, half the problem is that the Giants' stadium has terrible wind patterns, and this game was in Philly, but the highs today were in the low 30s with a wicked wind!
Does all that make you think we are making excuses for our Eagles?! (Ummm, if you got our subject reference, you already know what happened. Kehehehehehehe) NOPE! The Eagles made us nervous, BUT we won – 20 - 14!!! Yippee! Oh, and just to be extra helpful, the other two teams in our division – the Cowboys and Redskins – were kind enough to lose today. That helps us catch up a bit for our wild card berth to get into the playoffs!
