I Must be a Good Sport
By Spaulding T. Bear
Mommy told us we must be good sports and we have to write a 250-word theme on being a good sport, every time we throw stuff after our team loses. I don't like to write 250 words, especially since she's really making me write it and is making me use good English and Grammar. This is my 250-word theme on being a good sport.
When our Phillies' baseball team or Eagles' football team win, we dance and give everyone high-fives. Mommy says that is a good sport. When we see a ball player on our team get hurt, we pray that he is OK to go back in soon. Mommy says that is a good sport.
When he is on the other team, we pray he will be OK by the next game. Mommy doesn't say we are being good sports, but we aren't bad sports yet either. Mommy says the Eagles lose sometimes and we throw our helmets and jerseys across the room and pout. Mommy says that is a bad sport. We don't remember that, but we do remember that we see nothing but Eagles green after tough games. We think if we just hold on tight, when we see that color, maybe our clothes will stay on us. We're really, really, really hoping that Mommy will think we are good sports, then. Do you think this will work? We really, really, really, really hope so.
The end.

I Must Be a Good Sport
By Teddy T. Bear
Compared to most of
Even with all that, Mommy thinks we are not good sports, simply because our jerseys and helmets pop off of us and land below the TV. It's not our fault! How can we stop what the helmets and jerseys want to do?
Mommy says we must be good examples for our kids. Well, our daughters don't watch football, so we can't be examples, if they aren't watching. Our sons' helmets fly off, too, at the end of games the Eagles lose, so they are learning by example. Just the same, she says the jerseys and helmets cannot fly off anymore, and we must type, with our own paws, a 250-word, no more, no less, Theme on how we must be good sports. Not only that, but it has to be typed with good spelling and good grammar, even though we don't do this for entries in our blog. This is my Theme.
The only thing we can do to stop the helmets and jerseys from popping off us is to hold on tightly to them, if our Eagles ever lose again.
