Usually, we don’t go grocery shopping with Mommy and Daddy, unless they go to one that is close to one of our hotdog vendors. Today we went, a’cuz they were shopping for fun, more then for groceries.
While they were buying new comforters, we did have time to drop by our favoritestest hotdog vender, and even had time to eat his last hotdog with him, since we bought all he had.
Feeling our happy tummies, we did go into the Goodwill Store with our parents, a’cuz Mommy is in planter-mode. (She always worries the Garden Gals won’t have ‘nuff containers for the garden, so we visit the Goodwill Store, to see if they have anything that will work as a planter.) She didn’t find any planters, but WE found a Teddy Bear size water can for our hunnies. It is hand-painted, had a chain with a loop on top, and hooks on the bottom, so we think it was used as wind chimes.
Our finally store was a store we just learneded about online – Aldi. It’s a grocery store, but it has its own brand of cheap stuff, sells plants, flowers and gift baskets, and it’s a BYOB. (Bring your own Bags.)
Now with high blood pressure, diabetes, and food allergies, Daddy and Mommy can’t eat much that comes in cans, jars, or boxes, so most of the stuff wasn’t useful for us. They did sell diet soda for half price, though, but only had one kind Daddy likes. (He has decided he prefers his more expensive soda, anyway, although he will drink this up.) They were also selling rose bushes, but, remembering the last time we bought one and it was dead, we decided it wasn’t worth the effort.
When we got home and gave the water can to our hunnies, they loved it – even kissed us, so we did really well! (They kissed us again after everyone helped us to eat the last of the hotdogs, too.) They couldn’t think of anything they wanted to add to the bottom, so we tookeded off the bottom hooks. It’s stuffeded with a plastic bag, to keep the rain from rotting out the wooden bottom, and it’s hanging up in their…OUR garden. (We are now oh-fish-earl-lee part of the gardeners, so it's a family garden now.) They have a cute variety of water cans out there.
When we get kissed by our hunnies for a small gift, we consider that a beary successful day of shopping! We got kisseded TWICE!
